WISCONSIN'S DRIFTLESS REGION

GUIDED TRIP OPTIONS

Wisconsin's Driftless Region (non glaciated) is a land of unbeatable trout fishing opportunities. This region offers lush forested green hill tops that flow downward through Amish farms into the spring-filled valleys below. In this Eden, ribbons of trout-filled spring creeks babble through cow pastures and low timber lands of these valleys.  These spring creeks all act as arteries for a few of the areas trophy trout fisheries.

Walk and Wade:

In this area of the state, we are blessed to have some of the best spring creek trout fisheries in the country. A plethora of public land and easements from private landowners offer anglers great access to these trout filled streams.  You can choose to "beat feet" and put some miles on while throwing streamers in search of  larger, more cannibalistic brown trout. Or, anglers can take a more relaxed approach by slowly working up a stretch of water, nymphing the pools or even sight fishing to feeding fish as they rise to a number of the hatches that the Driftless spring creeks offer.

Float Trip:

These trips require less physically out of the angler and are more of a mental game. These "floatable" stretches of  the region's rivers offer a great opportunity for "trophy" trout. Float trips are only available from the last week of March through June 1st each year, due to increased canoe traffic once the tourist season begins. The drift boat and raft act as your magic carpet as you slide effortlessly down these remarkably picturesque rivers targeting the best stretches that the area's larger rivers have to offer.
